Accounts Payable Help Desk Job at Fresh Del Monte
Purpose of Position:
This position is primarily responsible for providing timely and high-quality customer service to internal and external customers within agreed timelines, which may require additional analysis, reporting and customer contact to both internal customers and external suppliers to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues. Perform various operational duties and special projects as assigned by leadership.
Accountabilities:
- Provide high quality, timely, and accurate customer servicer to internal and external queries within agreed timelines.
- Promote a Customer Service driven service model and build strong vendor relationships
- Reconcile vendor statements and request copies of missing invoices as needed
- Accountable for adherence to SLAs and achieving KPIs
- Conduct complete and accurate research as needed to complete inquiries and requests via email
- Expectation is to respond and close email requests within one reply – Right First Time approach
- Collaborate effectively with AP and outside departments to ensure requests are managed
- Professional, friendly demeanor with a customer-oriented attitude. Effective communication and listening skills. Able to accept constructive criticism.
- Able to understand and accurately communicate customer's needs, while demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Maintains a working knowledge of Fresh Del Monte operations, including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Procurement, Warehouse, and other departments directly impacted. Must understand processes for these areas to ensure timely resolution.
- Consults with management to proactively resolve customer problems. Identifies discrepancies and recommends resolutions regarding P2P operations which impacts vendors and accounts payable team.
- Attends department meetings / training sessions and incorporates information into daily job functions.
Minimum Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
- Experience in Accounts Payable with end-to-end knowledge of AP and Procurement processes: 3-5 years
- Proven interpersonal and customer service skills
- Outstanding communication and presentational skills – written and oral communication is critical to the success of this position
- Detailed work ethic with strong follow up skills
- Excellent management, time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage a high volume of emails daily within agreed SLAs
- Ability to keep positive attitude and provide courtesy customer service in all situations
- Organizational skills that reflect ability to work independently, and efficiently perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience working in global, multicultural environments with required cultural awareness.
- Bilingual with fluent skills in Spanish and English
